That’s right as this season the luxurious hotel has opened its doors to the likes of Manolo Blahnik and Tory Burch (amongst other designers) for a classic take on afternoon tea adding cakes and pastries that resemble the latest catwalk designs for the style conscious.

Costing £39 per person you will also see such delights as Jason Wu’s coconut “Carolyn” hatbox, Prada’s Geisha-like white chocolate and Grand Marnier oversized coat embellished with red poppies and Balenciaga’s modern monochrome dark and white chocolate mousse dress set on a pine nut brownie topped with flamenco ruffles amongst other clever curated patisserie and biscuit creations.

To make the experience even more glam the Berkeley has also forged with pottery experts Wedgwood to produce a bespoke collection of fine-bone china for Pret-a-Portea in an exquisite multicolored diamond-shaped pattern gracing the new plates, cups and saucers and teapots etc for the ultimate fashion touch.

Cannes Film Festival 2013: Best Dressed So Far….

I love this time of year, the award ceremonies, red carpet events and of course Cannes.

Now in its 66th year celebrities have flocked to the Grand Théâtre Lumière of the Palais des Festivals and with it showcasing a stunning array of gowns and outfits.

With the cast of The Great Gatsby of course taking centre stage at the film festival promoting their new flick starlets Carey Mulligan and Leonardo DiCaprio were seen at all the best bashes including the FLAUNT Magazine aboard the stunning John Walker & Sons Voyager Yacht (in association with Raffles Chelsea) where the lady herself was spotted in this gorgeous two-piece monochrome tuxedo suit.

Aside from Carey model-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne was also snapped in a stunning plunging beaded black Burberry gown complete with dramatic make up and dripping in jewels at The great Gatsby after party. However, Cara was reported to have snubbed Leo DiCaprio’s advances and instead partied the night away with celebrity pals.

Before this unravelled Carey Mulligan also stepped out in a gorgeous princess-like evening gown from Dior. She was joined by actress Nicole Kidman stole the show on the red carpet at the film’s premiere adorning a beautiful mid-length dress (also by Dior). The embellished number wowed onlookers with its intricate detailing and colourful threads. I also love the way Nicole, 45(!), added neon pop coloured heels and an super-cool pompadour hairstyle - Tres Chic. Alongside Nicole was Naomi Harris in a simple yet statement glittering silver Calvin Klein column dress and my personal fav Isla Fisher who rocked a fabulous signature red Oscar de la Renta gown with sweetheart neckline and statement Bulgari necklace.

Singer Lana Del Rey also opted for 1920s glamour with her monochrome vintage scalloped edge gown whilst Emma Watson also kept in favour of SS13s hottest hues, black and white, by wearing a simple yet chic Chanel silk dress to The Bling Ring premiere.

Lastly Cheryl Cole also set tongues wagging in a gorgeous barely there gown in crimson red at the Jimmy P. Psychotherapy of Plains Indian premiere where she let her body do the talking, covering up just about enough of her modesty.

The festival ends on May 26, so looks like there is still plenty of time for someone to steal the ‘best dressed’ crown…

Myleene Klass launches new collection for Littlewoods.com

Adding to her expanding collection for Littlewoods.com Myleene Klass took to the stage yesterday evening at the St.Martin’s Lane Hotel to perform a piano solo for selected members of the press, to help launch her latest edition to her new range, and literally blew them all away. Not only with her musical skills but more importantly with her attention to detail and colourful collaboration for autumn 2012.

After sipping Myleene Martinis guests were treated to view the 23 piece collection which consisted of colourful knits, printed dresses, workwear tops and an assortment of day-to-evening wear ranging from a healthy bank balance worthy £35 to a more substantial £150 for detailed evening and occasion wear pieces. My favourite pieces have to be the leopard print skirt and cream mask jumper…

Rihanna set to design clothing range for River Island

That’s right folks our fav songstress Rihanna has just announced that she is set to collaborate with high street chain River Island to design her first EVER clothing range.

Riri first visited the UK-based store back in February and it seems the designs not only caught her eye but were also quickly added to her wardrobe as she has since been spotted out in some of the brands pieces. According to River Island’s Style Insider blog Riri approached THEM to collaborate and knowing her style we can only imagine how colourful and fabulous the collection will be.

Speaking about the collaboration Rihanna noted: “I’ve been wanting to design my own collection for some time. River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family run business also really appealed to me. I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I’m looking forward to working with them and creating something really special.”

Rihanna’s collection for River Island will launch in Spring 2013.

Friday Fashion Fix: Zara mini shopper handbag

We all know that Zara has been storming the high street this year with its fabulous designs incorporating studded collars and cool chino’s with good quality and prices.

However, our fav high street brand has just got even better as they officially went on (summer) sale today with an assortment of fabulous pieces which will work for any summer holiday wardrobe.

My favourite is this uber cute die-cast mini shopper bag complete with punched out holes and nifty handle in one of this season’s biggest colours: bright yellow. The bag also comes in electric blue, bright mint, coral and fuchsia pink all for just £49.99….

2012: Actress Blake Lively is the new face of Gucci parfum

If you were installing a new luxurious scent into your collections who would you hire? Well, those fashionable people at Gucci have opted for Hollywood starlet and ‘girl next door’ Blake Lively to front their new fragrance campaign.

The new scent aptly named Gucci Première eau de parfum has been created to emulate an aroma which matches their red-carpet inspired line with the same name. The adverts will be shot by renowned duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot while Nicolas Winding Refn will create the advert for television.

Speaking out about her new venture to WWD Lively noted that: ”Gucci is a staple. It is a brand I have always looked up to because to me it represents strength.”

“In their designs, in their images, in what they stand for philanthropically, and especially in their fragrance… I couldn’t be more proud to be working with Gucci and its heart, Frida.”

Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini also commented: ”Although she’s young, she’s also very determined, and I liked this spirit… she knows how to be a diva in the right sense, with an aspirational glamour,” reasoning that Lively was chosen ”because she is a girl of extraordinary beauty and a girl who loves fashion.”

Gucci Première is set to launch in Selfridges on July 5 2012 and will then be rolled out nationwide in late July. It will be available worldwide launch in September.
