Paris haute couture: Armani Privé space odyssey

Strutting down the catwalk like foreign objects the models at designer Giorgio Armani‘s Prive Haute Couture collection could have resembled something from outer space; the only thing missing was Babylon Zoo‘s ‘Spaceman’ lyrics pumping out of the DJ stand. However, with that said, Armani‘s space odyssey was wearable, accessible and above all interesting.

Glimpsing into the Armani Prive fashion future sphere for spring/summer 2011 was a constellation of warp speed colours and shaping; all in metallic fiery planet hues and sea-water shades. All items were cut and sculpted to match the mood with models wearing stark white UFO inspired hats to complete the look.

Celebrities who attended the show included actress Jodie Foster, the ever-stylish Sophia Loren; and young model-of-the-moment Amber Le Bon.

I can see an array of celebrities I style in gowns like this and whats more the high street will of course be able to follow suit and create an accessible match to boot. A galaxy of designs by a master of the ‘fashion’ universe.
