Wimbledon started with a serving of rain yesterday, and after a stormy start for Andy Murray he pulled his first round game back from Spanish rival Gimeno-Traver. However, it was not the talk of this exhilarating game that sparked column inches in the tabloids, but instead his racket. Supplied by sports giant Head, the racket cover had been cleverly printed with support tweet messages from fans which must have helped spur Murray on.
Apart from the sports equipment though and the forever changing style of the Williams’ sisters, another fashion concept that is hitting us is the latest jewellery line from Links of London. The bespoke collection is already in store, but this isn’t the first time that Links of London have provided a Wimbledon collection. As an official partner this is their 10th Anniversary collaboration, and as Wimbledon’s 125th anniversary of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships they have decided to design a selection of iconic pieces with a fun twist.
The collection ranges from cute ‘tennis ball’ bracelets to long strawberry pendants and classic Links of London charm bracelets. These must-have pieces can be worn throughout the summer months as a fresh alternative to classic jewellery.
Prices start from £40 – but you might have to hurry, as the Wimbledon collection will only be available for the next six weeks.
