Pop princess Beyonce rocked it hard at Glastonbury this weekend sparking a flurry of Twitter-mad followings and messages, including much love by funny man comedian James Corden who posted pics of himself and a friend partying hard to all her hits. Fans and Twitter-ites were in ore of her performance as she didn’t put a foot wrong on the night.
Starting with her number one hit Crazy in Love, Bey swiftly moved onto Single Ladies and am array of chart-topping hits from her past times with Destiny’s Child to her own solo material. Screaming to the crowd “You are witnessing a dream! I always wanted to be a rock star!”, Bey certainly didn’t disappoint and pulled out all the stops to show why she is the queen of the charts still after all this time.
Starting with a bang she let off fireworks throughout the show: wearing a bespoke gold sequined tailored jacket with 80s shoulder pads, Bey rocked out her inner goddess by channelling Diana Ross as a reference – via the hair but minus a skirt(!); and adding in what looked like a slim fitting bodice underneath (to steal Bey’s look just head to Marks & Spencer and purchasing a pair of their shape wear knickers for just £9.50 for a pack of two, adding in under a fabulous vintage jacket).
Whilst Bey was stomping her feet on the pyramid, smaller stages hosted bands such as The Streets (who received a massive welcoming and turn out for their final tour), and 70s favourite Kool & The Gang. I am just gutted that I missed all the action…
