Looking every inch the picture perfect bride, royal Princess Zara Phillips stepped out at Holyrood House on Saturday to thousands of well-wishes before she married her long-term beau rugby star Mike Tindall.
The pair, whom have been dating for seven years, looked relaxed and extremely happy as they left Canongate Kirk church, in Edinburgh, after taking their vows.
Royal guests and celebrities to attend the ceremony included The Queen, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. Rugby stars such as Johnny Wilkinson and Austin Healey were also in attendance, alongside Corrie star Katherine Kelly.
Princess Zara adorned a beautiful Stewart Parvin creation alongside her mother’s (Princess Anne’s) tiara, which she loaned for the day.
After the ceremony guests enjoyed a formal sit-down dinner that consisted of Scottish venison and Lobster, listening to a Jazz band afterwards.
The best man speech came from rugby colleague Iain Balshaw whom commented that Tindall’s life had dramatically changed since meeting Zara, adding “He’s gone from a Ford Mondeo to an Audi to a Range Rover to a chauffeur-driven car.”
Hmm I wonder what The Queen thought of that one…
