2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Looking remarkably like his character from Interview with the Vampire (1994) – aside from the smart black tux – Brad Pitt emulated his mysterious and sexy side as he stepped out with partner Angelina Jolie at the Screen Actors Guild Awards which was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles yesterday evening.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at the SAG Awards 2012If rumors are to be believed then Pitt’s soon to be wife also decided upon a stark black halter neck creation – a far cry from the traditional bridal white she may adorn later this year? Looking happy and healthier, Jolie matched her eye make-up too choosing a smoldering shimmer with nude lips and gold accessories.

Natalie Portman also wowed on the red carpet in a claret coloured Giambattista Valli spring/summer 2012 couture gown complete with Harry Winston jewels and Jimmy Choo heels. Actress Michelle Williams – who seems to be the one to watch on the red carpet at the moment – also selected a bright pillar box red lace gown by Valentino.

Alongside the A-list elite Zoe Saldana additionally managed to get hold of a Givenchy Haute Couture gown which was hot off the press from Paris haute couture fashion week (last week) by Riccardo Tisci choosing to match it with Tiffany and Co. jewellery.

Lace was again another big trend on the carpet with Stacy Keibler (George Clooney’s girlfriend) in a black lace Marchesa gown while Emma Stone adopted Alexander McQueen.

Glee star Lea Michele also ‘sexed up’ her style in a silver/grey Versace gown with thigh-high slit, topped off with a tousled hair and bright pink lips.
