It seems Posh has finally won her fashion peers over as she collected the Designer of the Year award at the annual British Fashion Awards on Monday evening, but the claws came out when it came to inner fashion sanctum between Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham.

The run in came as Beckham chatted to designer Marc Jacobs at a pre-drinks soiree before the event, which was held at the swanky Savoy Hotel. According to a witness in The Metro ‘Victoria was talking with Marc in a special VIP area when Kate swanned in.

‘Kate announced her arrival with a big “he-llo!” Without so much as a word to Victoria, Kate walked straight up to Marc and took him away from her and turned her back on Posh in a clear snub.’ An apparent ‘mortified’-looking Beckham made a quick exit straight after.

Later that evening however it was Beckham that was cheered as she took to the stage, beating off fierce competition which included Stella McCartney and Tom Ford to win her prestigious award. We wonder whose laughing now…

Balmain launches hair care range

Fashion’s most recognisable haute couture house has just launched out.

That’s right, the house of Balmain – who were responsible for ‘that’ silver shoulder pad dress Kate Moss adorned, and high street giants followed quickly up with, have just launched their very own hair care range in the UK.

Aimed at the luxury end of the market the launch encompasses eight initial products which are split into two different types of ranges: System Volume Nutrition Intense and System Volume Hydrant, which can work together to be hypoallergenic with gentle formulas to stimulate the natural growth of hair and neutralise the damaging effects of heat and sunlight.

Celebrity fans of the Balmain brand already include Beyonce, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Kate Hudson, Kylie Minogue, and Victoria Beckham.

Prices start from £29 and can be found at www.balmainhair.com; all products are available from exclusive hairdressers and flagship stores throughout the UK.

Kate Moss marries Jamie Hince

Croydon born model Kate Moss finally found happiness with her rocker beau Jamie Hince when they married in the village church in the middle of the idyllic Cotswolds on Friday July 1, 2011.

Looking every inch the happy bride Moss, Hince and a barrage of 15 quintessential English rose inspired bridesmaids posed for photographs for the worlds media.

Moss wore an ivory vintage inspired gown with a thin layer of tulle and beading, which was designed by long-standing friend and anti-Semitic ranter John Galliano. Hince, in a pale grey suit, smiled for the cameras before they started their on-going festival themed reception.

Fashion photographer Mario Testino was thought to have taken the wedding shots in an exclusive deal for Vogue magazine.

Guests who attended included friends Sadie Frost and her ex Jude Law, fashion designers Dame Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney, old super model pal Naomi Campbell and Topshop boss Sir Phillip Green amongst others.

In true Moss style she caused a scene by shutting off local roads making residents wait up to 45 minutes to be able to return home.

Is this Kate Middleton’s wedding dress?

It seems fitting that as Sarah Burton has been mentioned as the designer to be dressing Kate Middleton for her forthcoming nuptials next month, that Kate Moss should now appear in Harper’s Bazaar latest May 2011 issue adorning what seems to be like an exceptionally chic wedding gown by the late Alexander McQueen.

This is not the first time however that Moss has adorned this fabulous flowing gown, as she actually wore this iconic dress back in 2006 when she modelled as a hologram in McQueen’s Autumn/winter 2006 show.

The Bazaar issue which is based on the theme of ‘Fashion Royalty’, celebrates Moss the Queen of the modelling world. Moss is also pictured in another iconic style flouncey white wedding gown, which is this time designed by Burton for McQueens latest collections. Could this be a nod to Kate Middleton’s choice, or to the Royal establishment? Only time will tell…

Topshop launches Sandstorm make-up collection

After the success of the launch of their own in-house make-up brand a few seasons back; Topshop have come back with this all new limited edition Sandstorm collection.

This capsule trend collection comprises of nine solid products including four individual must-have nail polishes (£5 each), which can also be brought in duo sets; metallic mousse eyeshadow, which is hard-wearing and durable (£8) and a selection of gloss’, lip shades, eye compacts and blushers.

Priced from £5-£12, this affordable array of make-up will start to filter into stores from mid-February through to March, and dependant on sales may become a solid part of their already growing make-up empire.

The look is centred on Sandstorm colours, iridescent of the Nevada desert and based on the ‘Burning Man’ Festival. Topshop’s Senior Designer, Lizzie Dawson was “inspired by the eclectic mix of sun bleached neons and tarnished, dusty metallics that create the landscape of the festival. I wanted this to translate into a unique and experimental mini spin-off trend range for the make-up collection, one that embodied the essence of S/S 11. The end result is a collection of one-off formulas in contrasting colours and textures that encapsulate the experimental, festival vibe.”

I would highly recommend the collection for festivals, as the long-lasting, smudge-effect means you won’t have to keep reapplying throughout your stay; and with prices so low you can afford to stock up.

As Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week came to a close on Thursday, celebrities to adorn their favourite designer clothing haven’t gone unnoticed.

The main fashion bandits to sport their favourite designer garments were Kirsten Dunst, Kate Moss and Diane Kruger. And their choice of attire? Chanel of course.

Dunst opted to carry the Mademoiselle handbag at the Haute-Couture spring/summer 2011 show, while supermodel Kate Moss was seen in a jacket from the Chanel Paris/Moscou collection; matched with a classic Chanel bag and a Chanel hat.

Actress Diane Kruger however decided to wear a light pink slashed buttoned jacket with matching skirt from the Haute Couture spring/summer 2011 catwalk collection to the Sidaction charity dinner.

Fabulous and chic, Chanel will of course never go out of fashion…
