Easter treats from Shopa.com: How to earn cash rewards through shopping!

As Easter Sunday approaches what better way to celebrate than by going shopping! But forget your traditional Chocolate eggs and Easter bunnies as I’ve found a fashionable way to update your wardrobe for less via Shopa.com.

The brand new revolutionary website has just launched, creating an online store which allows its users to combine both shopping and social media. You can do this by following other customers with similar tastes, helping you find your own style inspiration by mixing a haven of luxury goods against a back drop of all your favourite high street stores and up-coming brands. Plus Shopa.com keeps you up-to-date on the most trending items via social media, letting you purchase them instantly whilst sharing with all your friends. All you have to do is create a virtual Shopa profile and customise your feed with your favourite brands… And the best part? You earn cash rewards every time a friend or follower purchases the items you recommend!

Joining in and thinking outside the box I’ll be keeping my post New Year’s diet right on track by rocking this fab “Fryday” T-shirt from Adolescent Clothing instead of traditional fish ‘n’ chips for dinner on Good Friday; teaming the look with a pair of Current/Elliot skinny ripped jeans and colourful kicks from Nike. However, if the weather does adhere to spring-like temperatures with the sun shining through I can always add a metallic mini skirt (courtesy of Marc Jacobs) and a pair of strappy flats by Chloe for a glam spin on summer.

But you have to be quick as Adolescent’s super-cool logo tees and jumpers are flying out fast due to their limited availability and won’t be around for much longer.

However most retailers have clocked onto the dates and have started their own sales early, even prolonging discounts until Tuesday (hurrah!). Most savvy shoppers though will know the best option to beat the car park and store queues is to shop online; although just be prepared for some of your favourite websites to potentially crash if consumer sales hit an all time high!

SS13 Trends: Neon Hues

For spring/summer 2013 designers literally used every print and colour under the sun to adorn their collections with and none stood out more than the neon trend.

A flashback from the 90s neon hues used to incorporated yellow acid happy face tees and glow sticks but are now back with a bang in a sophisticated style becoming more grown up, sassy and tailored. Fashion houses such as Simone Rocha, Paul Smith, Gucci, Osman and Diane von Furstenberg to name a few all opted for fuchsia pink, acid greens and yellows alongside burnt orange shades to help pack a fashion punch to their designs.

Whether it was shown on billowing blouses, laced panels, high-end tailoring or frills, fluoro fashion is back and hitting a store near you.

If you don’t think you can pull off the look then think again. Online and high street retailers have brought out some great options for SS13 and here are just a few of my fav pieces that I’ve spotted…

Team daytime work pants with accents of neon via statement jewellery or workplace heels; or go full on for a day at the races, a wedding or special occasion in a neon inspired dress.

If you don’t want to be too bulchy about the look then just add smaller pieces into your outfit with a ring, earrings or clutch bag.

All Hail The Summer Sale…

So summer was officially here (last week) and has since slipped into a weather coma sprouting fine showers and dull grey clouds, however if you’re still psyched for a sunnier climate (which should hopefully be returning soon) then the launch of the summer sales this week should turn that Monday frown upside down.

If you’re looking to update your wardrobe with classic designer wear which will last the test of time then why not head straight to Harrods.com and My-Wardrobe.com whom are both slashing up to 50% off(!) online and in store.

Luxury high street stores such as Jaeger are also offering huge discounts with up to 50% on menswear, womenswear and accessories whilst retail favs H&M, Oasis, New Look, River Island and Warehouse to name a few are also cutting down the price on some super-saving pieces that will brighten up any holiday suitcase.

In these frugal times the art to a great sale shop is not to splurge because everything is super cheap but instead think carefully about what pieces in your current wardrobe have seen better days, and then try to replicate them. Good staple pieces are also key such as workwear dresses or jeans, that will last months rather than one wear, and generic beach wear like denim shorts and bright vests which you know will run from season to season.

If you do sale purchase on impulse then that’s fine too, just remember to pick something such as a statement bag or dress which you know you will wear for a certain summer occasion or event.

Online fashion e-tailer Asos has annouced this week that it is set to launch a transactional fashion shop to go live on Facebook tomorrow (January 27, 2011). The company will be the first in Europe to sell products via the social network, and are set to send Facebook into a viral spin after its surge in sales in the US.

Launched in 2000, Asos, or As Seen On Screen – as it was first known, has turned over huge profits every quarter, and even when Britain hit the slum of a recession, Asos were one fo the only online retailers still making large profits.

After the launch of its US website last October Asos sales increased rapidly to 267 per cent for the first quarter (up to December 31), which means that US sales increased by over double the amount of UK sales did when they first launched (initially started on around 100 per cent).

Asos have stated ‘that millions of its users already interact with its website through Facebook’, and attract over 11 million unique visitors per month.

James Hart, Asos’ e-commerce director, added: (Asos’) “Facebook Store will allow them to do this directly through Facebook.” So, in theory this will be a much more viable link for everyone…
